ARE SESSIONS CONTINUING DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC?
These are uncertain times, and it’s our goal to ensure our client’s and photographer’s safety. Therefore to meet state and local COVID-19 guidelines, our studio is partially open 3 days per week for sessions and consultations.
One of the great things about boudoir photography is that it’s a small scale 1 on 1 experience. The only people on set are you, the photographer, and the makeup artist, providing a safe “limited-exposure” environment.
We are also instituting the following policies to ensure our clients and employees stay safe:
Limited client bookings
In order to meet all criteria for state and local COVID-19 procedures and sanitation requirements, we are limiting client sessions to no more than 3 per week for the foreseeable future. This is the only way to allow our reduced staff the time we need to perform the necessary sanitization of our studio space between clients as currently required by law.
No groups or additional attendees for sessions or consults
We will only be performing 1-on-1 consultations and sessions in our studio. We will not be conducting group shots or allowing additional attendees in our studio other than the client participating in the photos. This applies to photo sessions and consultations.
Luckily our 1700 square foot studio allows us to maintain a safe distance from our clients during their session. Social distancing guidelines will be honored by all and the photographer will wear face protection the entire duration of the session for the client’s additional safety.
As per Colorado state law, everyone entering our studio must wear a mask. Clients must wear masks until their session begins and during wardrobe selection.
Everyone entering our studio will receive a touch-free forehead temperature reading to ensure they do not have a fever. All employees and makeup artists entering the studio will also be checked.
Everyone entering our studio will be required to remove their shoes and wash their hands first before any interaction. We have slippers available to wear once inside the studio for comfort.
Limited makeup and hair
Our basic sessions no longer include provided makeup and hair styling for your safety. Our higher-end packages still include makeovers with professional makeup artists following the strictest sanitation and safety guidelines. Both the makeup artist and client will need to wear masks during application so we are providing eye makeup and hair styling “above the mask” only. Also, certain packages no longer include makeup changes as the artist no longer stays on-set. Please arrive on set wearing your foundation only, and bring your own eyeliner, mascara, false eyelashes, and lip sticks. The makeup artist will provide the rest. We hope in the near future that we can return to providing full makeovers to all of our clients.
All wardrobe, shoes, accessories, and props are washed/sanitized after each use and each fitting so our wardrobe selection is limited to non-dry clean and washable items only. We’ve also removed fur rugs, plush pillows, and certain bedding from use just to be on the safe side. And a full sanitization of our studio, bathroom, and high-touch areas are performed after every client.
Please consider the health of others
If you have not been feeling well, have a fever, or have been around anyone that might have COVID-19 in the last 14 days, we would ask you to act responsibly and avoid the studio. We know you’re excited to get your photos, and we’re excited to capture them. But even if you’re feeling a little under the weather, please reschedule.
With these guidelines in mind, we’re still excited to create art and epic, beautiful imagery with you during these unique times. After all, everyone needs a break to take a moment for themseves with some fantastic creativity!
We’ll continue to update our studio plans as state/local officials share updates for small businesses.
Please leave a message as we are constanty on-location and away from service.
